The AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting is an entry-level accounting course. This course will prepare you for a junior or entry-level accounting role. You will learn a solid foundation of finance administration, which covers double-entry bookkeeping, computerised accounting and basic costing principles.

After successfully completing this course you can further progress to the AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting – Level 3, and achieve an AAT Accounting Qualification.

Course duration

The duration of the course can range from 3 to 6 months depending on your methods of study – full or part time. We offer evening sessions (3 hours each) and day sessions (6 hours each) including weekends. The teaching hours do not include the final assessment.

Entry Criteria

There is no entry criteria or work experience required for this course. However, it is advisable to have English language proficiency and a relevant level of math skills. This course is ideal if you are leaving school or college, returning to work or simply want to change your career.

Assessment

There are 5 units in this course. All units are assessed by Computer-Based Assessments (CBAs) – 4 individual units and 1 synoptic assessment. We are an approved AAT CBA centre and offer a flexible CBA service on weekdays, weekends and evenings.

Exemptions

You may be eligible for an exemption depending on your previous qualifications or relevant work experience. We carry out a pre-enrolment assessment to help you understand the exemptions criteria and recommend a right level of course.

What is the course start date?

We offer flexible course start date, so that you can start and finish your study as early as possible. All our courses are run on a regular basis – every week and every month. Please contact for more details.

What is the day class time?

The weekday class time is Monday to Friday from 11:00 – 16:00.

What is the evening class time?

The evening class time is 18:00 – 20:30 Monday to Friday.

What is the weekend class time?

The weekend class time is 10:00 – 16:00 and 16:00 – 19:00 on Saturdays. We also run classes on Sundays from 10:00 – 16:00.

How many days per week I need to attend my class?

We recommend at least 2 days per week in the weekdays; however, sometimes it depends on individuals’ circumstances. You can attend 1 day a week.

The weekend classes are available only 1 day a week – you can choose either Saturday s or Sundays.

Do you charge VAT?

All our fees are including VAT.

What is included in the fees?

The fees include textbook, hand-outs (as deemed by tutors), training and 1^st attempt of exam. Registration/membership/renewal fees with awarding organisation is NOT included in the fees. This fees depends on which course you intend to register with. Please contact us for more details.

What support you offer outside classroom?

We offer career advice and CV writing support. In addition, we offer email and telephone support outside the classroom. You can call or email directly to your tutor outside your classroom if you have any question or need clarification on study topics.
